Water Challenge Update: This Is Hard

So this week the challenge is to drink nothing but water. There are so many health benefits to drinking water. Here are five:

1. Relieves Fatigue - It really does make you feel "better."

2. Improves Mood - Again, it really does make you feel "better."

3. Treats Headaches and Migraines - This is SO TRUE. The #1 cause of headaches is dehydration.

4. Aids Weight Loss - First, drinking water cuts calories out of your diet because water has no calories. Two, water helps you burn fat faster. It's a fact. It's science. Look it up.

5. Flushes Out Toxins - Water helps you flush stuff (Coca Cola) out of your system. Again, it really does help you feel "better."

So there are a lot of benefits to doing this. So why is it so hard? Case in point... This weekend, I drove home (four hours) to see my kids. My daughter Lani had a basketball game. Then last night I had to drive (four hours) to Springfield to a finance meeting. When this meeting is over, I have to drive (three hours) to watch our girls basketball team play in the state playoffs (Go Lady Panthers).

Add that up, and that is 11 hours in the car which equals a few fast food stops. Then I was at a ballgame this weekend which equals a concession stand. Then another game tonight which is another concession stand. Not to mention the breakfast buffet this morning where there was juice, coffee, etc.

It's just really hard to drink "WATER ONLY" when you go-go-go like this. But I've been good! I haven't had a drop of anything but water so far this week. There are about 5-6 other people that are signed up on this challenge with me. So if I can walk away from that mocha cappuccino this morning, so can you! LOL
