Jim Vaughn: AWESOME GUY

I'm here at Kennett High School on a Saturday morning, watching elementary basketball. I'm sorry if the format of this looks crazy, but I'm typing it on my phone. Sometimes the "mobile blog" doesn't look right lol. 

But here is the moral of the story. Jim Vaughn is here running the gate, collecting money, everything I come here. Jim is a longtime basketball coach here in the SEMO area (Twin Rivers, Kennett) who is now the AD at Kennett.

Jim sets up these Saturday morning games for the kids. He hires all of the concession, score keepers, and refs. He works the gate all day. He stays and cleans up after the last game - sweeps, mood the bathrooms, cleans out the bleachers, etc. 

How many ADs do that much for their school and community? It's just amazing. He doesn't get paid anything to do this. Some weekends he has to spend some money out of his own pocket. He does this to build up the programs here at Kennett. 

The world would be a better place if there were more people like Jim Vaughn. I know Kennett is a better place because of him.
