JWT Athletes: Giving Power Back to High School Coaches

I have a new idea, and I'm calling it "JWT Athletes." This is a place for high school coaches and/or high school players to go to the website, fill out a form that takes like one minute, and have your name entered into my database for FREE. I take that list and email it to my network of coaches every week. This is all FREE!

Right now this list includes close to 750 colleges and over 1,000 coaches, assistant coaches, athletic directors, and sports information directors across the country. Having run this system for my players for years, I can tell you without a doubt, it works. You'll get some coaches to contact you.

I wanted to create something that helped high school coaches take control back of their players recruiting process. So the way the site works, you enter the high school coach's phone number, the school address, etc. This sets it up so that when the college coach calls, he's talking to your high school coach first.

To all of you players reading this, I'm telling you without a doubt, there is nobody that can help you get recruited to college more than your high school coach. This is coming from somebody who won state championships as a high school coach, had guys go D1, D2, JUCO, etc. One guy is in the NBA now. I also was a head coach in college and had to talk to AAU coaches, high school coaches, etc. I'm not here to bash AAU coaches. There are some good ones out there. Having said all of that, nobody can help you more than your high school coach.

Number one, if you're going to college, they're going to need your transcripts, what classes you've taken, your ACT score, etc. Your AAU coach doesn't have access to any of that. It's against the law LOL. Your high school coach does have access to those things. In addition, AAU is not anything like college. So your AAU coach doesn't really know your practice habits, your attendance record at school, etc. All of those things matter when you get to college. Your high school coach knows if you miss school a lot, knows if you have a couple bad practices a week, etc.

I'm telling you, as a former head coach at the college level, they are going to want to talk to your high school coach. It's a fact. So that's why I set the process on JWT Athletes up the way I did. It also prevents the team manager from filling out the form and saying he's good enough to play at DUKE LOL.

There are too many guys out there making money off of kids right now, too many services that are ripping parents off, and too many kids getting sold the lie of "if you pay this, I'll get you some EXPOSURE." the NCAA has started cracking down on it because there are so many scams out there. There is another article here that says playing AAU Basketball costs a family between $400 and $4000 for the summer, and that is not counting gas, hotel, food, etc.

Guys, this is FREE. Fill it out. Get your name in the system. It gets mailed out to close to 750 colleges every week. That list will grow. Right now we're taking information for basketball, football, baseball, softball, and volleyball. If you fill the form out, your name goes in the system. Simple as that. FREE!

Coaches, you can enter your players name into the system yourself if you want to do that. I'm glad to help any kid get an opportunity to go to college. So if you have a kid that you think might be able to play somewhere, please put them in the system.
