"If you are going through Hell, keep going."
- Winston Churchill

Good morning to the JWT Family. I hope everybody has been reading The Morning Pep Talk everyday. Today's word of the day comes from a former player of mine, Dez Williams...
PERSEVERANCE
That quote by Churchill is one of my favorites. Rodney Atkins wrote an entire country song based on that quote LOL. But it's so true. Sometimes when you're in the middle of a tough situation, you only have two choices... keep going or turn back around? Most of the time, you're better off if you just keep going.
This week we've talked about sacrifice and reaching your potential and surrounding yourself with the right people and getting your hustle on. I think this word, perseverance, and this concept, "keep going," is the perfect way to end the week.
I've seen this happen over and over and over in my life. People are so close to a real breakthrough and they give up at the last minute. They are so close to changing their life in a positive way FOREVER, but they give up at the last minute, and all of their time and effort is wasted.
Have you ever been there? I know I have. It's frustrating, and if it ever happens to you, I bet you'll look back and kick yourself just like I did.
Just imagine yourself... whether it's a job or college or a relationship, etc... imagine you put all this time and effort in, and it just got so hard that you gave up. Then years later, you look back and say "Wow. If I would have just stayed with it for another couple of months, my whole life would be different today."
Don't be that guy. Don't be that girl. Push through it when it gets hard. Like I used to always tell my basketball players, "Everybody plays hard until they get tired. A really good player is going to keep playing hard AFTER he is tired." That is how you have to go through life. Don't give up just because something is hard. Push through it.
I hope you are surrounding yourself with people that are telling you not to give up. I hope the people who care about you (or "say they care" about you) are telling you that you can do it. Because if you're willing to Hustle and Sacrifice, if you can Persevere through those hard times while surrounding yourself with a good Team, then you might reach your POTENTIAL!
Did you see what I just did? See, if you'd been reading all week, right now you'd be impressed LOL.
Everybody get out there and help somebody. Have a great day.
