The Morning Pep Talk #6: "POTENTIAL"

Good morning to the JWT Mafia. I hope everybody has been reading The Morning Pep Talk everyday. Today's word of the day comes from my friend Allen Crites...

POTENTIAL

I love that quote from Susan Gale. That is so true, because every person has potential. The problem most people have is they never find out how to point that potential in the right direction.

Albert Einstein said something like, "Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree, it will spend it's whole life believing it is stupid." We all have potential and our own "genius" or talent or however you want to put it.

You have to find that thing you're good at and then find a way to make a living doing it. Notice I did NOT say get rich doing it. Most of us aren't ever going to be rich. Accept it. It's just a fact. Get used to it. That doesn't mean you can't be happy and have enough money to pay your bills while doing something you love to do.

But I hope you are surrounding yourself with people that see the potential in you. I hope somebody is telling you everyday that you' have potential and value, because you do. I hope you are making the sacrifice (read yesterday's Pep Talk) it takes to reach that potential.

If you haven't been doing that, you can't change the past. All you can do is start doing it TODAY! Don't wait until tomorrow, because that's not promised to any of us. Do it today. Just Win Today. Reach your potential.

And if you can help somebody else while you're doing it, even better!
