"You must be willing to make sacrifices at times, knowing the outcome will be worth it."
- Justine Moore

Good morning to the JWT Nation. I hope everybody had a great weekend. Today's word comes from Mandi Lee, a former student of mine...
SACRIFICE
I don't know who Justine Moore is, but I love that quote about sacrifice. I think we all understand that if we want something really bad, or if we want something that is worth having, that we are going to have to sacrifice. That's common sense.
Imagine you're in the middle of something right now... in the middle of high school, in the middle of college, in the middle of a relationship, in the middle of trying to get a better job, etc... So there you are, in the middle of something, trying to get to that next level, but it's hard.
What do you do? Do you quit and give up? Do you just say "it's cool, I didn't really want it that bad anyway." Do you just fall back into your old routine and say "it's gonna be alright."
You probably do. Most people do. That doesn't make you a bad person. It just means that you're probably going to miss out on something awesome.
Don't be that guy that guy that sees somebody else get the promotion and says "THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!" Don't be that girl that watches a guy end up with some other girl half as amazing as you and says "WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?"
Coulda. Shoulda. Woulda. IF ONLY...
Don't be that guy. Don't be that girl. Anything worth doing or having is going to involve sacrifice. It's going to be hard. If it was easy, everybody could do it.
So make that sacrifice today. If you do, you'll look back and thank yourself. If you don't, you'll look back and kick yourself. The choice is yours.
